A good friend of mine who wanted to try out for the seals swore by it, he said it was the best book out there on the subject.

Stew is excellent. I have several other workouts. His website has a lot of free articles and PFT standards for various service tests.
You get your money's worth, IMHO. After you buy one of his programs, he doesn't bombard you constantly trying to sell other programs.

Really good. the stuff is a bit advanced for some. but if you've been training for a while, and need new challenges, it's worth while. there are a few other books to reccomend in this, but i dont know if you can get them in the states. "chris Ryan, SAS fitness and survival" is BRILLIANT. if you strugle to get a copy, let me know, i'll help from here

I found ine book on Amazon by Chris Ryan. the title was "Chris Ryan's SAS Fitness Book (http://www.amazon.com/Chris-Ryans-SAS-Fitness-Book/dp/1844138097/ref=pd_bbs_sr_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1196113482&sr=8-4) ". Would that be the same book?

Sometime ago I purchased the NAVY SEAL TRAINING video. It is three videos in one. I get a good workout when I use it. It has the late Scott Helvenston as the instructor. A good challange.

Stew Smith is great. Personally, I feel that these programs should only be followed by those who aspire to become SOF operators (US Army Rangers, Navy SEALs, US Army Special Forces, USMC Force Recon, USAF SpecOp, etc.). that is my opinion as a member of the Special Operations Community. that's not to say that they won't get you into great shape, but they're mostly geared towards preparing you for incredibly tough training.

I haven't used the SEAL training, but Stew's programs are great -- well designed, fairly priced. He gives you a lot of solid content for your bucks.
I've purchased several of his general conditioning programs.
His website and newsletters have lots of useful content. He's even replied to e-mail questions.
[warning: rant coming]
By comparison, I also purchased a BW program from someone else -- good program, also good value, BUT, within days I was receiving marketing pitches from this person who was cross-selling other people's programs as well as his own. If he really believed in his program, he wouldn't be trying to sell me other programs a few days later [rant off]

I don't think I have this yet, I do have "The Navy Seal Fitness Guide" edited by Patricia A. Deuster, Ph.d.
Can someone send me a link to this or even more preferable hopefully send me a copy of the ebook, if that's ok. :)

I have used "Dave Carrachi's" Navy Seal Workout Challenge. Very good workout that will whip you into shape. I am going to have to pull it back out. Been awhile since I used it.

Stew also gives quite a few free workouts on his site, and ways to jump start your problem areas, like pullups and pushups.
