In all honesty, I am just training for functional strength. I was a mixed martial artist and traceur (parkour) for a long while...but no insurance and injuries just don't mix. In the past, I have competed in highland games and cycling events. I currently have a cycling race in October. Next spring I will be kicking it into high gear for the Highland games again.

So, to sum it up into one sentence: My goal is to maximize my strength & power relative to bodyweight.

Yeah. Crossfit is definately an inspiration of mine. They have some great stuff on there for GPP.
