Just finished watching Steve Maxwell's 300 DVD. Bottom line: it's a good DVD worth having. If you'd like to know more read on:

------This DVD has nothing to do with the Gym Jones 300 workout-------

The DVD is broken into four sections - beginner exercises, intermediate exercises, advanced exercises, and the 300 workout. The different levels have every exercise clearly explained in great detail (10 exercises in all, that get tougher as the levels progress). This is a great feature if you have no idea how to perform the chin up, push up, or other bodyweight favorites. You are supposed to master each level before moving on because the preceeding level prepares you for the next.

The goal is to perform 30 reps of each exercise in forty minutes or less while maintaining good form (taking breaks and pacing yourself accordingly and using lower level versions of the same exercises when needed). Ultimately, you want to be able to perform all of the advanced exercises as is demonstrated by Mr. Maxwell in the last segment.

All in all, I'm pleased with the purchase of the DVD. The instructions are clear, the exercises are good (two of which I'd never seen before), and Steve Maxwell certainly walks the walk.

3 monthes after 300's release , the amount of westerners with six packs probably increased by 2%

I was interested in getting this DVD. I've looked at some reviews online and a lot of them are mixed; could you tell me if you need any sort of equipment to be able to complete this routine? And if so, what?

Thanks.

You will need to be able to perform horizontal rows and/or pull ups. If you have two bar stools and a wooden dowel, you'll be set. I thought the DVD was worth the investment. I learned a couple of new push up variations and the routine is pretty cool (even at the beginner and intermediate levels). Hope this helps.

Cool. Thanks for the reply. I don't have any of that - but I'm fairly sure I could be inventative. I just didn't want to buy this and then need like $50 worth of equipment.

I have since ordered it and look forward to receiving it in the post!

There is a video on youtube that shows what the video is like. i was also interested (for being as old as he is, he is very strong! bodyweight exercise wise) check out http://www.groundfighter.com/

In his video on youtube he doesn't read from the cue card very well (almost like he's drunk) but he displays some really good moves... but only 10 exercises?
