Both my sons are doing BJJ and want to possibly do some tournaments. I will not let them get on the mat without being well-conditioned, so I had my oldest get up early with me this morning to work out.

Here was his 20 minute circuit

10 l,r squats off a bench.
10 incline pushups
10 incline body rows (I'm working him up to pullups).

He did great! I'm really proud of him.

Congratulations,

There is nothing like pride a father has for his kids.

You are doing the right thing by conditioning him.
Very smart.

good job--my daughter trains with me all the time...that's one of the reasons i like playgrounds, she just naturally gravitates to the equipment. having your kids train is an ESSENTIAL aspect of parenting as far as i'm concerned--as is teaching them to be able to defend themselves. again--great job!

I used to teach martial arts for years and my favorite classes were always the kids ,cause they are so eager to learn. Its very gratifying to see a child perform a technique or do an exercise that you taught them ....You should definately be very proud

Good thinking. Start them when they're young.
