I am 37. I don't run, but I walk 3 dogs. I work most of day in sunshine and heat of Memphis, so carrying around my 29 years of bad habits and choices is not fun.
I don't want to be a gym rat, I don't have that mentally. I believe in limits of machine and reps with weights. How do you think 29 years of bad habits are enforced in a gym? I can't get shoulder correctly aligned because of those bad lifting habits.

I am 5'8 and 250lb fireplug. I want to reshape this body to be at least belly and more lean muscle.

Welcome aboard. Being a 35 going on 36 yr old woman, at 5'11" 210 lbs, I hear you on the reshaping. I have started going to a boxing gym and for me the step has been an invaluable one. Not to mention the support I have gotten on here. Good luck on your new path.

I just start the level one challenge. And I found out . . . I got weak core--- can you say Cheeseburgers :}.

On the serious, yo thanks for all the support. I read threads and it's good to know I'm not alone, just tender for crunches.
