Two sturdy chairs work. Just turn them back to back, with enough space between them, then put your hands on the backs of the chairs, bend your knees and dip. I think Paul demonstrates doing just that in one of the videos.

I have a pair of home made rings hanging from a doorway chinning bar
i try to do 100 dips and 50 pullups most days, above and beyond other training
