View Full Version : Leg Workout that made my lower body strong and fast

This is one of my fav. workouts when I was rehabing my legs. Each exercise is one minute long and makes u sweat within the first couple min.
1 minute Hindu Squats
rest 10 seconds to catch breath
1 minute Mountain Climbers
rest 10 seconds to catch breath
1 min. Hindu Jumpers
rest 10 seconds
1 minute Grasshoppers
rest 10 seconds
1 min. pleasent valleys
rest 10 seconds
1 min. wall chair
Very challenging workout and can be used as a circuit and helps build great lung power.

Grasshoppers start out like the mountain climbers except you dont bring the legs back and forth you slide to the side so heres how they go:
Grasshoppers-Begin position on all fours. while having the hands on the floor slightly lift your leg and slide it under the chest until it nearly touches the opposing hand. w.out hesitation reverese the direction and slide the other to that opposing hand.
Pleasent Valleys- Sit on the floor, back is straight and hands overhead. lift the legs up and proceed to do a bicycling motion w/ the feet. w/ doing this, use your hands as if you're picking grapes from a vinyard or cherries from a tree, grip and squeeze and keep peddling.

Lower body strength is an important factor in fitness and overall sports. they are the strongest muscles in the body and helps in overall lifts like deadlifts, overhead presses.
