What's a "hacksquat" and what's a "deadlift"?

Hacksquat: A squatting exercise performed on a 'Hack Squat' machine. This is not a bodyweight exercise, and can only be performed on the aforementioned specialised machine.
Deadlift: An exercise that is performed using a barbell. It is similar to a squat, except that you have the barbell in your hands in front of your body than across your shoulders. Start with the weight in your hands, on the ground, squatted down. Then, keeping the arms and back straight, squat upwards, pushing with the legs until you body is straight.
Neither of these are bodyweight exercises. For more information, check out the exercise guide list at bodybuilding.com

You can do hacksquats in the smith or a free barbel , or in a machine you basicly holdthe bar behind your back with your arms like a deadlift and squat like this , I like that movement it's safer then normal squats and you get more quad activation then the deadlift , the deadlift is where you lift a bar with weight off the ground with your legs and put it back usually used with 1 maximum repetition...
not exactly BW , you don't have to do them but if you got a barbell you might want to there both good movements
with BW you acn use the switch for overall leg development
