I'm 5'5"ish, 145-150 lbs 22 year old male. My biceps are about 14 inches, my forarms 12 inches, and my calves are 16 inches. Compared to my thighs (which are over 20 inches) my calves appear dinky and wimpy. I wanted to make my calves a little bigger, and my forearms bigger (because compared to my biceps, my forarms are dinky too!).

My girlfriend, basically, thinks I'm "big enough" right now... Well maybe I look big because I'm short and have large bones, but I really don't think I have all that much muscle mass.

She wants to lose weight (and wants me to help her) even though I love her body the way it is now, but she doesn't want me to excersize and improve my muscularity. She also doesn't like me eating a lot of protein (why, I don't know... maybe because she's vegan and doesn't like when I eat eggs or fish).

So basically my question is: Will doing BWE routines from this forum make my muscles get a lot bigger, or just strengthen and tone them a lot more? Because I've talked about putting on a inch here and there and she gets really freaked out and everything, and I'm really tired of hearing it. :(

Okey , first of all your in the right place , because BWE is awesome when it comes to the upper body, Pullups,Dis and Handstand pushups (like I said a thousand times alread) with different grips and variations can pack a lot of mass on your upper body very proportionally , way better then the avrage softcore gym routine which consists of flyes and curls that most people get to do, although in the end it's your nutrition that's responsible for "bulk" or "tone" hardly your training and strength is mostly your nervous systems work

You can do dips between two identical chairs in your house that you place towels on thier backs for grip , very effective and stable also home dip stations are rare rather expensive and suck..

For pullups get whatever pullup bar you need , you can fetch a doorbar for 10 bucks a piece a lot of kids buy them to make thier room look manly or whatever and rarely use them

handstand pushups are tricky but can be learned within a few attempts , after 3 days of tryign to get into the position into the wall youd either be able to do the reps perfectly or even adapt compleatly to handstands and not get blood rushing to your face , another alternative for them is incline bent pushup dips (Place your feet on somethign high , your hands on two chairs , bend at your hips so your shoudlers face the floor and do pushups all the way down about the same resstance as non dip HSPUs so they work for a while...
don't skip your shoudlers , infact I reccomend to start from them big shoulders look good and are rare nowdays since everyone pussies out of training them for whatever reason I don't know even mroe then legs

and as for your gf
, okey this is the most important dude , don't take her seriously Ive spoken to many guys like you and other girls who have guys working out and they feel intimidated , anso if you are "fine the way she is" and not supporting her loosing weight the right way why would she support you working out? but don't take her seriously...
also vegans who ahve no knoledge of nutrition ruin thier body , it's okey to be vegan but you must know what are you doing and supplment with vitamins and protein otherwise shell get fat and unhelthy.
