View Full Version : Am I ready for level 2: deep toe presses?

Hey everyone. I tried out the toe-presses last night. I stretched inbetween every set after the second set, and basically did about 8 sets of 30 reps. Am I 'ready' to go on to the level 2 excersize of "deep toe presses" (where you utilize the full range of motion) or should I keep working up to higher and higher reps/sets? I'm basically not even really that sore this morning, but my thighs sure are achey after my squat-holds! (I was only able to do 4 sets of 12 slow breaths).

Anything below level 7 is for the obese and disabled...
reading your last post I assume your not one you should be doing harder stuff,
and I hope your not doing them on yor toes compleatly otherwise it only works the toes and not the calves...

Wow hardcore man! - actually no. That's a very generalized statement and doesn't tailor to anyone's specific needs or abilities. Plus, I'm trying not to rush into anything... that would just be asking for injury, now wouldn't it? :)

...didn't you say you work for looks? the most commom way to do it is max effort just not rushing into anything is the same as thoose old geezers who use the pink \ chrome dumbells to do compound movements.... basicly not too far from flapping your arms in the air
annyway, do yourself a favor and do one legged full ROM calf raises , most out of shape total noobs in my gym do thoose for quite a lot of reps, and if you can do more then 20 add weight

No, I never said I work for looks. In fact, I'm trying to condition my body to have the most power it can without adding a lot of size.

Then it's even more critical how cn you have lot's of power by doing high repetition low power excersises without effort?

Lol that comment about anything below level 7 being for the obese and disabled made me laugh lol. Kinda true though, if you think about it everything up to that point is fairly easy lol, not trying to sound like an arse, but if something feels too easy and your not feeling like your getting any gain from it, why do it? go up to something harder till you cant go to the next hardest one, like say you are doing calf extentions and you can do like a bajillion of them easy lol, why stick with em? move up to 1 leg calf extention or what have you. The levels arn't ment to be individual workouts by themselves, you kinda wanna go through each of them until you get to the point where you got a good set of workouts for each area of your body that is the hardest you can handle. Sorry if this doesn't make sence, it did im my head lol

You can use it. Plenty of people use it. Koltz doesn't, but others do.
