Hi, New to the Forum. I like what I'm seeing. My resume...
I'm recovering from shoulder surgery 5mos. ago.
-I started weight training in middle school. With almost all the focus on upper body....
-In HS I was primarily a wrestler [but I picked up some Mixed MA experience in college.
-Prior to the surgery I was lifting heavy free weights w/ all core exercises w/ one day a week dedicated to a body-weight routine.
- Now, 5mos after surgery I'm starting to do sports again beginning to train myself to improve my performance.
My decision now is to use primarily Body-weight in my practice. I want a versatile workout that i can do anytime, anywhere. A workout that will help me @ work (firefighting) and at sports. Practical & Simple
3 times I felt in shape:
1) When I wrestled (minus weight loss periods)
2) During MA training always
3) Days when I did my body-weight routine (my hardest and most rewarding days over last 1.5 yrs.)
I've found three other resources so far:
-USMC Daily 16 program (US Marines basic program. following this now)
-Combat Fitness UK
-TBK Fitness
I looking for help coming up w/ criteria... for doing an assessment so I can document result of BW training over first 6 mos. Anyone ?
