Wasn't sure where to put this topic..

So I wanted to ask you guys what do you think the best type of cardio would be for someone who is mindblowingly bored of pedalling with a static bike or running.

I mean, it wouldn't bore me so much to pedal for a shorter while...but 30mins just seem like forever.

I've read Koltz recommend rope jumping, sounds exciting and more challenging. Oh well...I'll hear what anyone has to say

My main goal is to burn fat with this, btw

:)

I'd definatly do jump roping.

Running can be really fun if you kind've weave in and out of obstacles and stuff, it adds a bit more excitement to it.

Have you tried riding a real bike outside?

Have you tried riding a real bike outside?

Yes, well actually I ride freestyle bmx and MX so that keeps me working out pretty much everyday, and I used to go out on a roadbike and do long rides around the city on weekends and sometimes in weekdays...but that just got old pretty fast, it was like I had to be outside pedalling for over and hour to feel the "pain".

And don't get me wrong, going riding is a beautiful thing, but it just takes too much time and I know the area too well, it feels repetitive. I want something more intense that requires less time.

I'll your idea =) gotta get a rope now

Thanks a lot!

Shorter time? Go for intensity then. Try doing bicycle sprints of the same sort of interval workout favored by sprinters. I got to the same point with my cycling, where I had to go longer and longer to feel it, so I just started doing intervals, and varying my pace a LOT more. The erratic sprints really worked to push me hard.

If you're really feeling masochistic, do all-out sprints on the bike, Tabata-style during your rides.

Alternate rope skipping and different burpees every once a while , possible with some olifts or something too...

it's called HOC (High octane cardio)

and it's very good you can also do what I do and hook small dumbells into the jump rope handles or wirst weights if you have them and it pumps up your arms chest and shoulders very well , or use a band for triceps and back pump

HIIT = Great
HIIT + Distance Running = Perfect Combo

Switch it up

Run a few miles one day (or walk if you can't run/jog), do HIIT on some stairs/bleachers or On a tredmill (or even on a track sprinting).
