Hello everyone. My name is Dave. For a living, I do two things; I help middle income families get out of debt by educating them on how money works, plus I distribute what I have found to be the most powerful nutritional breakthrough in the history of humanity; Himalayan Goji Juice.
I was born March 19, 1981 in Peterborough, Ontario, I'm 6 foot 6, 180 lbs. I have taken part in Kempo Freestyle Karate, and Traditional Hapkido. I started lifting weights almost 2 years ago, but I switched to bodyweight exercises exclusively starting May of 2006. They just make more sense, and i can and will do them until age 100 and beyond!
This forum is the best thing I have ever found! I used to spend countless hours searching the web for bodyweight tips and tricks, but this place has it all! Thank you!
I can already do one leg squats fairly easily, since I have been a commuting cyclist for years, and I do 20-30 hindu squats with a 60 lb weight vest every single day before breakfast. I thought I had it made, but then i read about the single leg lift, as they are shown in level 20...WOW!
My first goal at the time of joining this forum is to follow the one arm pushup lesson to the very end and beyond. I also look forward to being able to do full range of motion handstand pushups and one arm pullups, and I know that with the help of my new friends on this forum, and daily hard work and discipline I will get closer to my goals every day!
CHEERS!!!

Welcome aboard and please do stay!
one arm pushups rock there fairly impressive especialy for big guys with huge upper bodies another cool thing you can do is streching one arm foreward and the tuck the pushing arm to add like 10%-50% more ressistance and later add even the smallest weight to the straight arm that would be magnified by levrage... so you could be pressing crazy stuff with only the ground and mayy a small object
For example if I get on that position at the bottom of the movement theres like 60KG of ressistrance on one arm(I weigh 72KG) and if I add say a 5KG dumbell it wuould add about 10-12KG by levrage in other words somewhat of a 2x BW bench although I can't do the full levrage one arm pushups yet I can just do normal ones with legs together and good form

Thanks for the welcome Planche.
Hey Koltz, I have to admit that it is a surprisingly good challenge to work on the one arm pushup training. I used to do weighted Hindu Pushups every day, but latley I've eased off on thos a bit just to build the triceps needed for one arm pushups.
I think I have a bit of a challenge ahead, as I am very tall and weigh 81 kg (alot of that is my legs though, so I should count my blessings), so I have a very large range of motion to build for my triceps. I will make it, just give me some time.
The other things I have been trying out are the "Shaping the Massive and powerful shoulders" routine, and the "chest shaping routine". Both very challenging, new and exciting. Guys, this place has it all!

Too bad it's a scam... =\

jonp382, I appreciate your opinion, and I am sure your comment was only meant to help and protect me. If I see concrete evidence that goji berries don't have the health benefits that have been found by dozens of tests by various labs around North America I will stop drinking it today.

If I am convinced that the countless people who have told their stories of how goji juice has helped them overcome various health problems, including life threatening illnesses for some, are all liars, I will stop drinking it today. http://www.gojihealthstories.com/stories.htm
If it is shown to me that it is purely a coincidence that since I started drinking it every day it takes me only only night's rest to recover from a workout and still workout the next day with the same high level of intensity, and still make improvements - I will stop drinking it today.
I don't know why you feel as you do, and I am sorry you see it that way. If the above things can be proven to me, then of course I will agree with you. Until then I will have to continue singing its praises and reaping its rewards, for my experience has shown me that when you try something that works better than ANYTHING you have tried before, you share it so others can be helped as well.
in short, here is why I believe in goji juice:
Research + Action + Time = Results
And I love the results I am getting

Lol, that's not what I ment. Goji berries are nothing more than normal lycium berries - you are being horrendously overpriced. Just buy normal lycium berries for 7 dollars a pound...
http://www.henriettesherbal.com/blog/?p=466
Hell, the stuff at the links you gave me aren't even organic now that I look even closer. Lol.
Let's also look at the nutritional labels...
Pear juice. Apple Juice. Tibetian Lycium Barbarum Berries(no such thing btw, just your normal lycium berries again, except they are lycium wolfberries...which are also much cheaper and not as good as normal lyciums). and other 100% "Natural" flavors...kind to list these natural flavors for us? Blackberry juice and blueberry juice...there's where your super powers are coming from.
Oh believe me...goji juice works! But you need to realize that it's not what it's hyped up to be. Much cheaper just as good alternatives out there.

Hey Jonp382, I see where you're coming from now, and appreciate the suggestion. I read your link, but I am still happy where I am. It's just that there are many cheaper supplies of lycium available that don't contain the four main polysacharides that are responsible for many of the beneficial effects of goji juice. The reduced price often (not always, I'm sure) come from the fact that they are non-standardized and you are not always getting the "pick of the litter" so to speak.
It is convenient for me to get it the way I do, and I can afford to plus I am able to supply my friends and family, most of whom really like it, and at least I know for certain I am getting standardized berries with all 4 polysacharides.
I just believe if it ain't broke, don't fix it. :-D
Koltz, yeah I heard that Green Tea has many powerful effects too, but it tasted gross. Goji juice is just one of a few good options out there for people who want huge amounts of antioxidants and other health promoting properties. And it tastes delicious!

Please inform me on these polysaccharides. A few days searching on google has turned up virtually nothing...

Oh, with or without powerful effects green tea is awesome, I went to Chinatown (Buenos Aires version hehe) and bought a LOT of it, I love it.
That goji juice sounds quite appealing, I'd like this debate to continue so I'm more informed on it.
Cheers!
Oh! And welcome Dave hehe better late than never. :)

My understanding is that the polysacharides act as a medium that facilitate intercellular communication, thereby making your body function more efficiently. It seems to work, and by the way, Jonny P, a health food store in my area just started offering goji juice at a cheaper price than I was getting before, so now I have officially switched suppliers. I'll let you know if the new stuff works as well as what I had before.
And even though it's pretty gross, I am actually drinking green tea now, too. I don't feel any different thoug, but I'll give it some time.

I ment what polysacharides, not what a polysacharide is. Sorry for the confusion.

Lycium Barbarum Polysacharide 1, 2, 3, 4, which have not been found in any other plant on Earth.
