The reason I am getting into this discussion is because people say abs is for endurance. Fighters need obliques but not abs for striking.
I personally believe that you should train your abs with the hardest exercises there, hanging leg lifts, decline situps, flags and so on. That's the only way the abs will protect you. And you have to know how to get hit, sort of like Van Damme in Kickboxer.

Agreed?

Actualy you don't train your abs for defance by trainng the muscle , you get kicked in the mid section a lot untill u don't feel most of the kicks
Ofcource big abs flexed hard throughout the fight will help but that's not endurance
