I workout in silence since a few years but that is because I have no stereoset at the garage where I workout and at my former house I worked out at a roof top, also no stereoset there.

I used to listen to music while working out before that. The kind of music I listened to depended on the kind of workout. If it was easier slow workouts like slow technique practice or stretching I would choose very easy calming music, like dead can dance, enya etc.

But when I was working out with jumping rope, the bwe, resistance, kicking and punching or whatsoever I needed a good beat and than it was mostly electronic body music (EBM).

haha where the hell did you find that :D (EDIT: just saw the url at the bottom of the picture hehe whoops)

I love a bit of loud prodigy or the such when getting pysched up for a monster of a set.... volume goes up, head goes down, towel goes over my head to block out my vision and allow me to really focus on what Im about to do.

Usualy end up getting a few spectators watching the freak show as well :D

I prefer training outside with no music and nothing but the sound of the wind in the trees.

When I was younger though, it would have been Megadeth.

I don't like to have music playing when I work out. The natural rhythms of everyday activity are pleasing enough. Might put on some death metal or hardcore hip-hop if I feel that I must. Wu-Tang Clan (1 part Method Man), Suffocation, Morbid Angel, Geto Boyz, Gravediggaz, etc. all work.

I prefer training outside with no music and nothing but the sound of the wind in the trees.

I have been doing the same as you, but with the high humidity and temperatures, all I can hear is me sucking in air while I swing my kettlebell
