Do you guys ever get massages?
I always thought they were girly. Last night I got one. A full body massage with special attention on my sore spots. (I am a straight male)
I always thought it was girly. Anyway today I worked out in the morning.
I felt like I took some kind of stimulant. My pull ups went up by two reps. My usual run felt like nothing.
Giving the chance and extra money I would probably get one two or three times a week.
UFC guys get massages, so do bodybuilders.
Where did you get yours?

I have a very handy massager from Brookstone that my wife uses on me when needed. Also, I use an incline bench atleast once if not twice a day.

Speedy, just wondering if you had a choice of a massage (regular, not profesisional, unless your wife does it professioanly) or a incline table.
Which one is better to relax/stretch the back?
Is incline bench that thing that you hook your feet into and turn upside down?

Man I would love to get a massage....
Don't be mentioning a massage if there is no one around to give one.
That's just mean. 8)

It depends on what I am shooting for. If back pain is the issue I would go Incline Bench; anything else would be the massager.

Massage relaxes muscles and speeds recovery by allowing free nutrient flow to the muscles, buy a foam roll from www.athletesperformance.com or use a basketball, and just roll over the muscles you worked a couple of times, then do hot/cold contrasts in the shower. The skin turns red when the blood rushes to the surface(when it gets hot), and the blood carries nutrients, and goes all the way through the muscle during it's journy. Hot water does this good and safely. Skin turns white when cold because blood rushes to the vital internal organs. A technique called hot/cold contrasting has you alternate between 2 minutes hot and 2 minutes cold twice each. End with cold for more energy, and hot to officially end the day after a protein/carb shake, some stretching and your foam roll/basketball massage session post workout, and you can really end a workout right.

Do you do all that? Or parts of it?
