View Full Version : One arm push ups feet together.
Can anyone do the one arm push ups with feet together?
I can 10 with the right and 9 with the left. My legs are about 3-4 feet appart.
I think it would be cool to have the legs together. Just don't know if it's humanly possible.
If you can do it or seen someone do it. Let me know. I need inspiration.
That would be very hard.
Pretty sure it can be done. You must have very strong triceps. Drill your dimond push ups.
I think that the best way to get one arm push ups with feet together is to start with feet appart and slowly bring them together.
Probably will take a while, but in theory it should work.

Strong tricpes is right. Also strong shoulder and midsection. See if you can do close grip push ups on one leg. If you can than try to go down with one arm and come up with both arms.
It's funny how people give advice.
Can anyone do those push ups themselves?
Actually I seen people do one arm push ups.
Let me make you a bet. If you can do five dimond push ups with someone standing one your back. (That person must be your equal weight.) You will easily do one arm push up with feet together.

You are on.
One arm push up with feet together is right on the triceps.
I just tried it. My triceps felt it more than any other muscle. I could not do it though. I tried with my left arm so my left leg kept comming up.

Just wondering; did you try it form the top (straight arm) or from the bottom (flexed arm).

I can do them actually I never tried to do them with feet apart the trick is ti use ur feet(erm not legs the feet on which yoyu wear shoes on sorry for my bad english I'm from israel not exactly an english speaking country)
to get the tripod balance basicly you got to haev em like this _| |_ on your toes... that makes it lot more easier

So you are saying that your inner border of the foot is on the floor?
Like toes and heel is on the floor?

I Don't think I can explain this well I'm writign this message for the third time :s
say yuor pushing with your left hand then have the right leg bent sideways to get a bigger distance between the tree points of preasure on the ground that are your arm and legs... something like this ||_ <--- "_" is the foot from above ofcource not compleatly sideways but enough to have more distance between the two points in your legs that tuch the ground , it also helps to bend the torso sideways , say your pushing with your left hand notice almost all the preasure is on the oposite side leg and the left leg hardly supports it's own weight.
If you did not understand this try to read it again , English isn't my first language so it's a bit hard to explain myself clearly

I can do it, 6 in a row even actually. However I don't think my form is perfect as my back kind of twists in the direction of my hand (but not much). Does anyone know haw to stop the back from twisting?

You need a strong triceps and strong core, but it can be done.
The more you practice Dimond push ups, the better your triceps will be.
The more you practice one arm push ups and one arm pull ups the better your core will get in stopping your from twisting.

Another usefull tip I found last time is that it seems that it's easier getting of the floor and firing up your core to hold you straight if you push yourself to the oposite direction of the pushing hand slightly infact it seems keeping a clearer form is more automatic when you do this

I see, so you sort of you the triceps more than chest.
Similar to that sticky on one arm push up.
