View Full Version : Chin ups for biceps.
I know that chin up hit biceps more than pull ups do.
Do wide or narrow chin ups hit the biceps more?
I don't think wide or close matters.
The more upright you are the more biceps work.
If you lean back and your head doesn't go directly to the bar, that's when back works more.
One arm chin up is the best for the biceps :-D
Try a false grip.
Have your palms on the bar, not just hands.
That will hit the Bi's harder.
You know what will hit the biceps good.
One grip chin up. The other hand holding the wrist.
The arm that is holding the bar will have an amazing bicep pump, try it.

I just did 3 on each arm to test what you said.
My biceps don't feel it any more than my back.
My wrist was working overtime, that's for sure.

I think narrow or neutral grip would work em a bit better or at lest give more feel on it

Do you guys ever read the articles on DragonDoor? There are more than one pullup articles that are very informative, and have an interesting view on bodyweighttraining. After reading the articles I no longer do grips wider than slighlty more than shoulder width, and I also don't do behind the head pullups. The only narrow pullups I do are towel pullups which is a very effective grip workout.
