Hello All,
My name is Brian and I'm from Vancouver Island in BC, Canada. I love working out by using bodyweight exercises. I once read an article on burpees as used by felons in the American penal system (for example, burpee competitions to avoid fights, burpees to train for combat endurance/skill, etc.) and became facinated with different variations of them.
I am 6"4', ~220lbs and would like to lose 8-12 lbs of body fat by swimming, bodyweight exercises, cardio (I enjoy cycling) and trail running. I also play squash on average 2 times per week.
I eat healthy and enjoy cooking.
Besides burpees at home, I love finding playgrounds (especially when no one is around) and using them to my advantage (jumping pullups are my favourite).
If anyone has any ideas on how to train to do a "kick-up" please let me know. If you have seen the movie "The Bourne Identity" and watch the scene where Jason fights the assassin in the apartment (the assassin enters the apartment by crashing through the window) they will fight in the hallway and make their way into the room with the desk. As Jason is knocked down, he leans back on to his shoulders, puts his hands behind his head and kicks his feet in the air; he lands on his feet (balanced) ready to fight the assassin. I would like to do one of these with ease.
Regards,
Brian/Bray
