I was really suprised that I could not get the muscle up when I tried the other day! first time I tried it but I really thought I'd bang 'em out.. didn't happen!
I noticed that in the Calisthenics Kingz "Hit" kinda swings up into the muscle up.. I was trying from hanging.. maybe I need to cheat a bit?
I can bang out dips and pullmyself up pretty good now.. maybe just takes a few trys..

at first it is alright to swing up through the transition but you should aim to do them with no kip whatsoever once you achieve that. the best way to build strength for the muscle-up is to do false grip pullups(pullup as far as possible) and single bar dips(dip as low as you can). the combination of these two exercises will build strength in the transition.

You might be a beast, but the muscle-up is thechnical though. so as strong you might be without the proper technique you won't get it. there are some good vids about the right technique on the forum about how to do it.

It took me a little while to get the technique down. If you can do explosive pull ups you should be able to do a muscle up. A lot of it has to do with hand placement. It's not like a regular pull up. Try to get your hands over the bar more when you start and swing when you start. Doing a dead hang muscle up on a bar is really hard.
