Here is what you should do Brandon: Start a workout log to show us your routine so we can see what you're used to. Then you'll be able to progress from your current routine into something that will challenge you better and give you better results.

But don't think that getting sore is necessary. It could just be that you are experienced enough and your recovery ability is good. I used to get sore all the time, but now I have tailored my workouts in such a way that they are challenging, but I know I can recover sufficiently to be back to 100% in 2 days. I don't get sore either when I train like this.

Hi Brandon.

You say you've been working out for a while. This is probably why you don't get sore. From my experience, your body gets used to 'the punishment' you dish out to it. Do you do different exercises every now and then to hit the same muscles in a different way?

I personally don't think that you need to be getting sore after workouts to be getting benefit although I can relate as I like to 'feel' that lactic acid soreness from time to time.
