I was thinking about my training this week and realized that there have been many times that I have either done less than I was planning to do, or simply didn't work out at all when I was going to. There are times that I start feeling obligated to my training, like if I miss a session I am somehow cheating myself. That may be the case at times, but then I read this article and it helps to put everything in perspective.

The take home message for me was that if I am improving in strength and conditioning and I'm injury free, then I must be doing something right.
I hope you guys and gals find this article has helpful as I did.
And now I'm going to the gym!!

Good find Dave.
Think it was Bill Starrs' articles that I can recall reading in the old Iron Man magazines.
I used to beat myself up if I missed a workout, but these days if I miss one, I'll just realise that it was for a good reason (illness etc) and just move on and get back to the next workout asap.
Training is important but so are a lot of other things.

That's another 50 burpees for being sad about spending time at BWC. You better get them done this coming week.

At least for running, I find taking a day of once every week and a half to two weeks helps keep my legs a bit on the fresher side. 7 days a week just tears me down way too much.

Actually I never thought of you as speaking with an accent!
But wouldn't it be funny if the above quote was said with an outrageous accent?
Sorry...please don't give me more burpees!
