Look at this site. It has some really good exercises for strengthening your rotator cuff.

Cuban presses (not saying their the best, just another good choice)

Also you can do rotator cuff exercises with the USA, and with resistance cables. Just make sure to use the same ROM as in the exercises shown in Dean's link.

I'm recovering from a seperation. I do a routine . My first exercise is I stick my arm straight out at shoulder level and bend it in a 90 deg angle fist pointing towards the sky. I use a 5 lb db. but any resistance will do to start. rotate the arm keeping the 90deg angle forward and return that's one rep. I do3 alt sets of 10 each arm. 2nd I do 3 x10 each arm front lat raise. 3rd. is 3x10 side lat raises. 3x 10 external rotations with a band.

Knuckle, looks like you're first exercise is cuban presses, minus the press out overhead.:D

the cuban press looks like a good exercise I might add that to my workout

I like to do them light and for higher reps (10 or so) and a couple sets when I actually do them. They are a good pre-hab exercise IMHO.

I've been using this exercise quite a bit lately and really like it.
I've tried it with both a stick and with bands and I like both versions.

That is a great exercise. I do this exercise with a towel, minus the squat. Sometimes I use a resistance band as well. The closer you bring your hands together, the greater the stretch in your shoulders. Also, I've been meaning to do overhead squats at the gym.

I usually leave out the overhead squat as well, but I have added it in before and it's cool. Pierini does a lot of O-lifting, hence the addition of the squat.

I like Pierini's blog a lot. I post at another forum where he is a member. He's a very motivated, knowledgeable individual and he doesn't mess about.
