I don't have a pommel mushroom so I can't practice it that way.
On other forums people say having down Straddle L-Sit, L-Sit, Planche would make this alot easier what do you guys think?
If you agree what other moves should I have down to make this easier.
A list if you could please.
And which should I learn first CIRCLES vs FLARES.

Is that tricking?
We should start a tricking forum section.
Edit-never mind gymnastics. Should have known when he said pommel horse

definately do circles first. try and find something to replicate a mushroom.
all the moves listed will help but but circles are more about technique than strength. a bucket hanging from the ceiling to put your feet in is a good place to start. check out the pommel horse articles on www.amgym.com for more info on circle training(free registration required to read it)

I was going to suggest a protractor and a lighter.

Would this video help or would it input bad muscle memory?

Instead of using a bucket how about a wheel apparatus thing.
Like something my feet can lay on and a circle wheel ball at the bottom to slide around the ground on.
Do you think that could work?
(If you still don't get what I mean just say so , so I can try and draw a picture of it.)

Nice video. I love the progressions. I doubt that I could ever get to the final product, but the intermediate steps sure look interesting and fun.

I don't know what makes those moves easier, but I did find diy instructions for a mushroom while looking up parallettes. Here's the link (http://www.westsideacademy.com/boysteam/buildit.php).
