hey all,

i have one quick question... i follow the 'life guard' routine that i found in a nugget of gold, three days a week. on the other days i am going out for a jog, while i do sit-ups and push-ups before or afterwards.

my question is, sincei do formal pushups on the strength training days, should i take the hindu's out of my jogging day routines? i am debating back and forth with myself because they don't work ALL the same muscle groups, but they are sharing the same push principle.

i am so lost! if you know anything that could help me solve this dilemma that would be great.

Well hindu pushups target more muscles than your standard pushup as well as the same muscles as you are currently working. My reccomendation is if youre doing pushups one day dont work those sames muscles the following day, the need rest and youd be working away at a stress injury and not getting the gains you could have. Instead if it was me, every other set of pushups in your standard routine would be hindu pushups.
