I just started doing them and am wondering if my hand placement is okay: I lower my pull up bar to just above the floor and grab it with an over hand grip. The reason i ask is because it seems to hit my arms harder than my abs. I dunno, maybe i jus have weak arms but any advice would help.

And at the moment i can do 2-3 consecutive reps.

hand placement is optimal, you can have them like you do or with straight arms like in this vid.

i do them with bent arms the same way as you with a pullup bar. i also find them stressful on the biceps but the is an advantage not a disadvantage

they shouldnt hit you arms much

I dont really understand how you are doing them but there are two ways that I know how to do them on a bench with your hands behind your head grabbing the bench like this http://www.myfit.ca/exercisedatabase/images/dragon_flags_abdominal_exercise.gif
................................or how the man himself did them like thishttp://www.dragonwill.com/imagens/abs2.jpg

=THE MAN!

I tried dragon flags a couple days ago and got up to 7 negatives. Not bad I guess.

btw how did Bruce build up his pulling strength? He could do some insane stuff with that too.
Actually everything he did was insane!

He was also 130 lbs soaking wet. Put incredible strength (which he had) into a body that small and it can do amzing things.
