Sleeping Turtle

Hi,
I´m nearly 32 and started lifting for the first time ever in May 2008. It came on the back of about a decade of yoga, triathlon, martial arts (taiji and xingyi kung fu), and some pilates. I have had a rather dramatic change in body composition, especially in the upper body :)
I´ve been lifting three times a week (mostly free weights for 30-40 minutes), seriously working on pilates again in a studio with weekly private classes and doing a little gentle yoga to relax. I tend to work out 6 days a week (this is what I have done for years, only before it was swim, bike, run, or yoga and kung fu etc etc).
Anyway, I have recently been feeling a bit beaten up (probably mildly over trained) and so am taking a week´s break and have decided to ditch one of the weights sessions and do body weight stuff, hence coming back to you guys after a year asleep.
My goals are (1) increase upper body mass (2) increase general muscle mass (3) definition. I no longer care about "being good at sport": I just like being in shape and not having back problems.
Hope that we can help each other… The yoga and pilates mean I´m a not-novice-novice with body weight.
