No offense to anyone at this site.....i workout a lot with weights and have for years......i have seen and preformed a few of the different routines on this site most of which have not been as difficult as the weight training routines i have preformed in the past.....i am planning on switching over to bodyweight training and have messed with it before....can anyone convience me or have proof of the effectiveness of a body weight only training regime.......can someone please convince me i truly hope you can

Welcome to BWC

If you find the routines easy, their only samples they can get much harder if you know what exercises are within your limits.
-you don't need to go fully bodyweight, for overtime you will surpass the amount of strength needed for a specific move
-their are hundreds of variations of each exercise

ok if this doesn't convince you and or challenge you I'll start following you as an idol
try each and everyone of these exercises

pistols
handstand push ups
glute/ ham raises
pull ups
muscle ups
dragon flags
burpees and lots of em go for 212 in 20 minutes
planche
front lever
etc etc the list goes on and on

and no ones stopping you from using weights
once dips or pull ups get easy for you try wearing a weight vest while doing them, or put a dumbell in between your legs most of us here do these

and there are tons of progressive exercises to get to each advanced skill

ex) knee push ups--> push up--> elevated push up--> high incline push up--> handstand pushup--> clapping handstand push up

I feel as though I'm pretty fit, but I can do less than half of the exercises I listed

hope this helps convert you, and enjoy

Obviously if you're at an above average strength level simply doing pushups and squats will not be very challenging. But then again, neither would be a workout where you bench press 100 lbs. and deadlift 150. Make the exercises hard enough and you'll get results. Doesn't matter what implements you use, BW or weights.

What kind of weight routines were you performing in the past?
