I was wondering what bodyweight exercises would help me sprint faster, because I don't have current access to weights.
Also how often should I sprint because When I run 100 metres all out about 5 times It really tires me out and makes me feel like throwing up.
I would also like to know how long you recommend I rest between sprints.
Thank you In advance if you answer this:D

exercises like pistols, glute ham raises and lunges will all benefit your sprinting. some simple plyometric drills would also have some benefit.

if you want to sprint faster there is no point sprinting 100 metres 5 times in a row with no rest because you wont be able to sprint the last 4 100 metres after finishing the first! you will only be running fast!
instead take more rest between sprints. a good way to do it is to take the amount of time it takes to walk back to the starting position as your rest period-so you sprint 100 metres, slowly walk 100 metres, sprint 100 metres again etc

Thanks Cathal!

What do you think of running against resistance i.e. Lifeline TNT cables? I might be getting a set in a couple months, just wondering whether the 'running belt' will increase power and stride strength....just by looking at it, it should...?

yes this would be great for leg power and will really improve your acceleration. you could also attach a homemade sled to yourself with some weight added and sprint while dragging it behind if you dont have the cables.

Yeah I was thinking about that but it would tear up the ground whereever I used it unless I sprinted on astroturf

....those parachutes are cool too!:)

Actually I'm pretty skeptical of that idea

To be honest, I reckon that short-interval sprints will help you the most. This involves different intensities, but I wouldn't train the whole 100m at a time. I'd dissect it into 50m sprints and make a workout from that.

Running will make you run faster.

That said, as Cathal mentioned, leg exercises such as Pistols will be a useful tool, too.

train hills, don't have to be steep, just a hill.
